The Art Market - Holmfirth - 5th June
This weekend I'm taking my work to Holmfirth's Arts Market. It is on Sunday 5th June, 10am-4pm, and features 100 artists and craftspeople, housed in Holmfirth Indoor market. It has been running for a fair while now, and has a great reputation. I'm very much looking forward to it!

April/May activities...
At the end of April/start of May I will be taking part in Open Up Sheffield, an annual event whereby artists and makers in the region open up their studios for visitors to have a nosey and maybe buy some works.
i'll be 'opening up' on the weekends of 30th April/1st May and 8th May/9th May. Info on how to find me are at the following link:
In between these weekends I'll also be taking part in a new exhibition entitled 'Sheffield Craft City'. It is the first of a series of showcases of local artists and crafters, hosted by the foodies at PJ Taste. Their venue on Glossop Road will be home to a selection of my artwork, as well as china-ware by Lianne Mellor and silver jewellery by Jessica Flinn. The exhibition starts on 6th May 2011.
There is going to be a launch night on 5th May 2011, with food and drink. If you'd like to come along you'll need to register for a free ticket at http://sheffieldcraftcity.eventbrite.com. For more info, go to the official facebook page for the event at:

Back from the BCTF!
Hello
Well, back now from my first visit as an exhibitor to the British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate. Truly a 3-day crafterama, with some stunning work there. I met a lot of very friendly people, and some useful art and craft contacts too. I'll put some pictures up when I get a mo..

March/April Fairs!
Things hotting up this month, what with the Craft Candy Mini Fair on Sat 12th March..
I've been beavering away like a nut for the last two months coming up with a load of new prints, posters and cards in preparation for an interesting cluster of fairs coming up (that i'll be selling at):
Firstly there is the Craft Candy Spring Fair on Saturday March 26th, at the Millennium Galleries, Sheffield. This time it is in conjunction with the Galvanise Metalwork festival, so there'll be lots of interesting metalwork as well as art/craft goodness.
Then, the very next day (Sunday 27th March) there is the Spring Nether Edge Farmers Market. Always very busy, this one...12-4pm...full of fancy food, art, craft and possibly morris dancers...
In April (3rd-5th) I will be showing my work at the British Craft Trade Fair 2011, in Harrogate. Its the first time I've done this one. Apparently its the biggest trade event in the UK, so I'm a little excited!
More stuff to come in May onwards, including Open Up Sheffield...
phew!

new Otto linocut print
hello. i've just done a new linocut of my cat Otto, in his usual daytime occupation. it is a 2-colour linocut, and my first real attempt at two colours/plates. I'm pretty happy with the result (even if i say so myself!). tricky, but worth it...i've printed an edition of 100 of it...
its now in my folksy shop, and will also be available to buy at the forthcoming fairs i'm attending.
cheers!
James
