hello. i've just done a new linocut of my cat Otto, in his usual daytime occupation. it is a 2-colour linocut, and my first real attempt at two colours/plates. I'm pretty happy with the result (even if i say so myself!). tricky, but worth it...i've printed an edition of 100 of it...
its now in my folksy shop, and will also be available to buy at the forthcoming fairs i'm attending.
cheers!

2011 Fairs!
Hello and good day...
I'm signed up for a couple of craft fairs in Feb/March, in Sheffield.
The first is a Fifi's Market fair, at the Workstation on Paternoster Row in the city centre. Its on Saturday 12th Feb, 10am-4pm. Take a look at the link for more info...
The second is the Craft Candy Spring Fair, Saturday March 26th, 10am-4pm..No introduction needed to the Craft Candy events, I'm sure..
Should be fun! Lots of ace arts and crafts, as usual...I should have a fair few new items on my table too..poster, prints and cards..2011 is getting busy!
Oh, in April I'll also be showing my work at the British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate. Its a pretty huge trade event...can't wait...

Linocut Workshop, Saturday 5th Feb 2011
A happy new year to you all!
I'm running a linocut workshop on Saturday 5th February 2011 in Sheffield, at Eccleshall Library. It had been arranged through Craft Candy, the sheffield craft collective that i'm part of, and you can book a place on it through their website:
www.craft-candy.org/workshops/details/lino-printing-workshop
On the day you'll learn how to create a linocut printing plate, and how to make a print. You'll just need to bring along an image to base your design on (ideally a tracing of it too), some old clothes (printing gets messy sometimes) and a pencil!
There's more info on the website. Maybe see some of you there..
cheers
James
